Join SHFG for a tour of the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center (CVC) led by exhibits curator, Christine Blackerby. Happy Hour to follow. More details: Enter through the main CVC doors near 1st Street. We’ll meet next to the Statue of Freedom. No food or liquids are allowed through security at the Capitol. Empty water bottles are allowed. The tour will be of the CVC’s recently renovated Exhibition Hall. The gallery includes films, touchscreen interactives, artifacts, and more that speak to the history of Congress, how Congress works, and American representative government. We will also visit the current Special Exhibit, Congressional Investigations.
